About CTET 2025

The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is a national-level exam conducted by CBSE twice a year (typically in July and December/February sessions).
It assesses candidates’ eligibility to teach at Primary (Classes I–V) and Upper Primary (Classes VI–VIII) levels.

Candidates who qualify the CTET receive a lifetime-valid eligibility certificate to apply for teaching posts in Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas, and other recognized schools.

CTET 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Paper 1 (Classes I–V) – Primary Level Teacher

• Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 2-year D.El.Ed. OR

• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.El.Ed. OR

• Graduation with 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed.

Paper 2 (Classes VI–VIII) – Upper Primary Level Teacher

• Graduation with 2-year D.El.Ed. OR

• Graduation with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed. OR

• Senior Secondary with 50% marks and passed/appearing in 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed.
