MCC’s Directive to States

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has directed all state counselling authorities to filter out candidates already allotted AIQ seats before processing their respective state Round 3 seat allotments.

According to MCC, the AIQ Round 3 counselling result has already been published, and no withdrawals are allowed at this stage. Therefore, state authorities must ensure that candidates with confirmed AIQ admissions are excluded from their lists to prevent duplicate seat allocation.

State authorities will be able to download the updated candidate list from the MCC portal after 1 November 2025.

Supreme Court Reference

This action follows a directive by the Supreme Court of India in connection with W.P. (C) No. 223/2025 – Shubhekar Patnaik vs. K. Ramesh Reddy & Others, wherein all state counselling committees were instructed to ensure that candidates already allotted seats under the All India Quota are not considered again in state quota rounds.

What This Means for Students

The postponement has created temporary uncertainty for candidates waiting for their state quota seat allotment.
However, this move ensures fairness — preventing AIQ-selected candidates from occupying seats in both quotas simultaneously.

Students are advised to regularly check the UP NEET portal (upneet.gov.in) for updated notices and not rely on unofficial sources.

🧠 NaukriBee Insight:
The temporary hold on Round 3 allotment highlights the importance of synchronizing state and AIQ counselling to maintain transparency. Students should remain patient — once MCC shares the filtered list after November 1, the state process will resume quickly. Keep documents ready and monitor official announcements for instant updates.
