Stage 1: UP Home Guard Written Exam 2026

The first stage of the selection process is the written examination.

Only candidates whose applications are valid will be allowed to appear in the exam.

Stage 3: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Candidates who clear DV & PST will appear in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

The PET is qualifying in nature, and no marks are awarded.

  • Male Candidates:
    4.8 km run in 28 minutes

  • Female Candidates:
    2.4 km run in 16 minutes

Failure to qualify PET will lead to disqualification.


District-Wise Merit List 2026

After completion of all stages:

  • A separate district-wise selection list will be prepared

  • Merit will be based on:

    • Marks obtained in Written Exam

    • Preferential qualification marks (if applicable)

    • Category & reservation norms

Only candidates successfully completing PET will be considered for final enrollment.
